What is Our Salt Cave?
What is Halotherapy?
The word halotherapy comes from the Greek word, halo, which means salt. Our Halogenerator produces a sodium chloride aerosol that fills the air with just the right amount of salt and humidity required to help relieve your respiratory system. Breathe in the purified air and allow your senses to absorb the whole experience while your body restores itself.
Why do we have cascades in the Salt Cave?
Other than provide a wonderful obiance the cascades provide another level of salt. Our water cascade is built of natural wood and pumps brine at a slow steady pace. As the salt brine trickles down the branches, it evaporates producing a saline vapor effect within the cave. The rooms air becomes enhanced with many natural mineral elements derived from salt (like iodine, bromine, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron). The water cascade replicates an ocean like environment and allows for the absorption of negative ions by our bodies to strengthen our immune system.
What do you wear?
Clothes should be comfortable, as you will be lounging in zero gravity chairs. As we do keep the temperature like that of a real salt mine, it is cooler in the cave (around 65-68 degrees fahrenheit). To keep comfortable we provide you with a warm blanket to use during stay.
Are children allowed?
Yes! Our salt cave is for everyone. We do ask that you let us know when booking your appointment that a child will be attending. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
